Here’s a list of my favourite books.
1. What she found in the woods | Josephine Angelini

When a boy her age Bo stumbles across her picnic blanket, Magda starts believing she might be able to move on from her past and finally feel something despite her medicine. But there’s something odd going on in this town, and when a body is found in the woods near Bo’s forest home, it’s clear that Magdalena’s nightmare is just beginning.
2. The silent patient | Alex Michaelides

A famous painter Alicia Berenson’s life is perfect. Until one evening her husband returns home late, and Alicia shoots him five times, and then never speaks again.
Alicia’s refusal to talk turns a tragedy into a mystery and the silent patient is hidden away from society at the Grove, a forensic unit in North London.
A criminal psychotherapist Theo has waited a long time for the opportunity to work with Alicia. He is determined to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband. But her story threatens to consume him….
3. My dark Vanessa | Kate Elizabeth Russel

Enthusiastic fifteen-year-old Vanessa becomes entangled in an affair with Mr. Strane, her forty-two-year-old teacher.
Several years later amid more and more allegations against him, a reckoning is coming due. Strane has been accused of sexual abuse by a former student, who reaches out to Vanessa, and now Vanessa finds herself facing an impossible choice: remain silent, convinced her teenage self willingly got involved in their relationship, or change her judgement of their past. But how can Vanessa reject her first love with the man who has been a persistent presence in her life? Is it possible that the man she loved as a teenager is so much different from what she has always believed?
4. Looking for Alaska | John Green

This is a story of Miles, a teenage boy obsessed with famous last words and who has become consumed by his desire to seek “the Great Perhaps”, the concept in the last words of poet Francois Rebelais. This sends him away from home to Culver Creek Boarding School, to find something more exciting than the life he’s always lived. He immediately gets his wish when meeting his roommate, who introduces him to a new world including the campus rivalry against the privileged rich kids, which includes his other friends including a fascinating girl named Alaska. Miles becomes to adore her deeply even after her tragic action and everlasting riddle.
5. The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo | Taylor Jenkins Reid

Aging Hollywood movie star Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. In Evelyn’s luxurious apartment, the interviewer listens in fascination as the actress tells her story from making her way to the big screens to her decision to leave show business and, of course, the seven husbands along the way. Evelyn reveals a tale of ruthless ambition, unexpected friendship, and a great forbidden love, but as Evelyn’s story nears its conclusion, it becomes clear that her life connects with her interviewers own in a tragic and irreversible way.
