Chain Experiment
In the 2nd year of the Natural Science ITS course, we decided to create a chain experiment. It is a set of devices that are triggered one after another, with each one activating the next. We approached the project in groups. Each group created one link of the chain, which we later connected together. The work was carried out in several stages. First, we defined the basic rules, then entered the cycle of brainstorming ideas, building prototypes, testing, and rethinking ideas, repeating the process as needed.
In each link of the chain, we integrated phenomena that demonstrate different scientific principles. We recorded the experiment and also created an interactive version where we added questions to the video, directing the viewer’s attention to these principles. What we offer you here is the version without the questions.
Finally, we chose a name. “Tapeworm” sounded too ominous, while “Chain” seemed too simple, and thus, the chain experiment was born.
Tension builds right until the very end…
