Criminal profiling also known as offender profiling or psychological profiling is a specific, practical science derived from psychology. That means that it applies theoretical knowledge from the field of psychology to much more practical contexts. Its goal is to construct a psychological profile of the person, through which we can then psychologically analyze, identify and apprehend said person.
