DELICIOUS WINTER COOKIES
by Ana Aberšek
There is nothing better than a winter evening. It’s snowing outside and the room in which you are in is nice and warm, you have a mug of hot cocoa in front of you, the only thing missing is that one special touch, to make winter what it is…
That thing is cookies. I will provide you with a recipe that anyone can recreate and that will make your winter so much better.
The recipe is simple and does not require a lot of ingredients. You will only need:
-250g of flower (sharp),
-150g of butter,
-150g of sugar,
-1 egg,
-1 packet of vanilla sugar and
-1 packet of rum sugar.
You can also add to taste some coconut flower, nuts or cinnamon.
To prepare the batter you literally just mix everything in a big bowl till it becomes a firm batter. Then put it in the refrigerator to cool for about half an hour. In the meantime you can preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius. After half an hour, you may take your batter from the refrigerator, roll it out with a rolling pin and start to cut out different shapes with your cookie cutters. You need to place them on a cookie pan and bake them for about 15 minutes (until they get nice and brown).
That is all that is to it, but if you wish you can also decorate your winter cookies, to make them even more special, using melted chocolate, sprinkles and frosting.
And there you have it, your cookies are done, don’t be afraid to share them with friends and family and make their winter special too.
