The story follows young David Martinez, who’s mother works day and night to get her son a top tier education. While driving her son home there car is caught in the crossfire. David survives but his mother does not. David decides to upgrade himself using a cybernetic his mother had secretly stolen. He encounters his mothers associate Maine and joins his gang becoming an Edgerunner.
